Southern Recovery Service

Southern Recovery Services is a third-generation, family-run vehicle recovery company providing specialist recovery services across East Sussex, Surrey and the wider South East of England. Established in 1965, the business has decades of experience handling everything from cars and vans to HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant and heavy machinery. Its specialist fleet and experienced recovery team allow the company to undertake demanding jobs that require considerably more than standard roadside recovery equipment.

Heavy commercial and HGV recovery form a major part of the service, with Southern Recovery Services providing truck recovery, heavy lifting, heavy winching and specialist vehicle recovery. Equipment is available for lifting and towing vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonnes to more than 44 metric tonnes. The company also operates specialist air bag recovery equipment, including a dedicated unit carrying five lifting bags with a 9,300kg lifting capacity for challenging recovery situations.

The company’s capabilities extend to on-road and off-road recovery, plant machinery recovery and low-loader transportation. Specialist 4×4 recovery vehicles provide hydraulic sprag and winching capabilities exceeding 20 tonnes for vehicles and machinery stranded away from normal road access. Plant and machinery can be recovered on-site, while low-loader equipment provides carrying capacity for substantial vehicles and loads ranging from HGVs through to tanks. Light recovery is also available using tilt-and-slide flatbed equipment capable of recovering vehicles between 3.5 and 12 tonnes.

Serving East Sussex, Surrey and locations throughout South East England, Southern Recovery Services provides 24-hour roadside assistance, repair and recovery alongside its specialist heavy recovery operations. From car and van recovery to commercial vehicles, HGVs, abnormal loads, plant machinery and complex off-road recoveries, the business combines a long-established family-run service with specialist equipment for demanding recovery work. With a history dating back to 1965, Southern Recovery Services brings more than six decades of experience to vehicle, commercial and heavy recovery.
