The Skin Edit

The Skin Edit provides clear, practical skin education for therapists, skin professionals and aesthetics practitioners. The platform helps learners understand the science behind the treatments, products and protocols they use, supporting more informed decisions and confident client communication.

Created by Amy, a skin professional with almost 20 years of industry experience and advanced Level 6 and Level 7 qualifications in aesthetic practice, The Skin Edit addresses a common gap in professional training: practitioners are often taught what to do without fully understanding why they are doing it.

The online, self-paced courses simplify complex topics and build knowledge step by step. Skin Layers Made Simple introduces the main layers of the skin, the epidermis and the important cells and structures within each layer. Further learning covers skin foundations, barrier repair, inflammation, healing, ingredient knowledge, skin concerns and treatment decision-making.

Alongside the courses, The Edit provides educational articles and practical skin insights. The aim is to make skin science easier to understand and apply, helping newly qualified and experienced practitioners develop stronger knowledge and greater confidence in the treatment room.
